Welcome to the City of Mulberry Election Information Center. This information is intended to familiarize City Commission Candidates, campaign treasurers, and residents with the duties and responsibilities required under Florida’s Election Laws, and the City of Mulberry Charter. All requirements prescribed by the State Statute, and included in this material, are subject to change by the Florida Legislature.

In 2025, the City of Mulberry, Florida will have an election for Mayor, District #2 and District #4, each for a term of three (3) years.  

Candidates must reside within the municipal boundaries and be an elector of the City of Mulberry for at least six (6) months prior to the beginning of qualifying and be registered to vote with the Polk County Supervisor of Elections.

Persons may obtain election materials to be used in the qualifying procedure from the City Clerk’s office on a day in 2025 which is to be determined. There is a twenty dollar ($20.00) City qualifying fee and a thirty-four dollars and forty–five cents ($34.45) state election assessment fee for a total of ($54.45) due upon submittal of qualifying papers for City Commissioner and a twenty dollar ($20.00) City qualifying fee and ($51.69) state election assessment fee for a total of ($71.69) due upon submittal of qualifying papers for Mayor. These fees must be paid by check from the campaign account only and made payable to the City of Mulberry.

Please contact the City Clerk’s office Monday through Thursday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM at (863) 425-1125 ext 223 for an appointment if you intend to run for office.

To become a candidate, you must be a registered voter in Polk County, a qualified elector in the City of Mulberry residing in the corporate limits of the City of Mulberry, a resident of the City of Mulberry continuously for six months immediately preceding the date of commencement of the term of office and hold no other public office.

Registering to Vote

City residents who are not registered to vote, but would like to participate in City Elections, can register at the Elections Office in Bartow. To register to vote online, click here. For information to register to vote go to voter registration information.

Applications are available at Polk County Supervisor of Elections, Mulberry City Hall, post offices, and libraries.

Registered voters are reminded to update the elections office with any name or address changes prior to Election Day. To change your voter information online, click here.
